For nearly two decades the Southside Aces have been playing the repertoire of the Jazz Age greats and beyond. From the early New Orleans of Jelly Roll Morton to the Chicago joys of Louis Armstrong. The evocative compositions of the young Duke Ellington to the barrel house sounds of Preservation Hall. And with the 2022 release of their 8th album, Minneapolis Bump, they’ve added fifteen originals to the jazz canon. Treat yourself to a century’s worth of New Orleans Jazz.

Besides Crooners, Southside Aces have performed at the Dakota, Vieux Carre, Bix Beiderbecke Jazz Festival, Twin Cities Jazz Fest, and Minnesota Orchestra Sommerfest, to name a few. They’ve driven dancers to a frenzy at national dance competitions in Denver, Omaha, Chicago, Des Moines, and all across the great state of Minnesota — which, if you’re keeping score, makes them a “territory band.”
