The Peter Kogan Quintet has been playing around the Twin Cities since 2016. The current aggregation has been together since last July. Peter Kogan backed up Blues masters Lightnin’ Hopkins, Floyd Jones and Honeyboy Edwards, appeared with the Larry Elgart Big Band and played with jazz, rock and blues bands in New York City before joining The Minnesota Orchestra as Principal Timpanist from 1986 – 2015.
