Pianist Dan Chouinard invites a guest singer to join him in raising a musical toast to the music birthdays and other anniversaries of the month. Charmin Michelle joins Dan to celebrate Karen Carpenter (March 2), Liza Minelli (March 12), Nat King Cole (March 17), Aretha Franklin (March 25), Sarah Vaughan (March 27) and who knows who all else.

Joining Dan on March 8, 2025, is singer and bandleader Charmin Michelle. Classically trained in piano, violin and flute, Charmin transitioned into singing in the early 1990s, performing in jazz clubs throughout the Twin Cities. Based in Minneapolis, she has toured internationally since 1986, performing at jazz festivals and clubs throughout Spain and France. Dan Chouinard is an all-purpose pianist and accordionist, concert soloist and accompanist, sing-along enabler, and writer and host of live history-and-music shows for MPR, TPT and theaters around the Twin Cities and beyond. Recently Charmin and Dan have appeared together around the Twin Cities with T Mychael Rambo and Thomasina Petrus in “Rondo ’56: Remembering St. Paul’s Black Main Street”.
