For each show on the Birthday Club series, pianist Dan Chouinard invites a different guest singer to join him in raising a musical toast to the music birthdays and anniversaries of the month. Ann Reed joins Dan on January 19, 2025 to celebrate the likes of Roger Miller (Jan. 2), Ethel Merman (Jan. 16), Danny Kaye (Jan 18) Jerome Kern (Jan 27) and more.

Joining Dan on January 19, 2025, is songwriter, singer, guitarist, and author Ann Reed. She’s been a performer for more than 45 years and compiled a catalog of over 300 original songs. Dan Chouinard is a St. Paul-based all-purpose pianist and accordionist, concert soloist and accompanist, erstwhile French and Italian teacher, sing-along enabler, and writer and host of live history-and-music shows for Minnesota Public Radio and Twin Cities Public Television. Together, Dan and Ann are co-hosts of a long-running community sing-along in St. Anthony Park which draws upwards of 100 loud people every third Monday of the month.
