Nabaté Isles is a Grammy-winning trumpeter as well as a composer and producer, born and raised in New York City. Nabaté released his debut album in 2018; the independent album was in the top 50 in the JazzWeek charts for six weeks. Nabaté has performed, toured and/or recorded with unique artists Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), Christian McBride, Philip Bailey, Jill Scott, Robert Glasper, Dianne Reeves, José James, Savion Glover, Oliver Lake, Ravi Coltrane, Steve Coleman, Steve Wilson, Gregory Porter, Freda Payne, the Mingus Big Band and others. Nabaté was a part of the trumpet section for all three of Christian McBride Big Band’s Grammy-winning albums as well as the band’s performance at the White House for the last concert under President Barack Obama’s administration.
