Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society: ORSON WELLES’ DRACULA
Oct 19 | 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Classic Staged Radio Drama.
The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society celebrates the spooky season with Orson Welles’ 1938 adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, recreated in the style of a classic radio broadcast, complete with commercials, music, and live sound effects. Many consider Welles’ daring, fast-paced take on Stoker’s immortal story to be not just ahead of its time, but one of the greatest adaptations of Dracula ever made.

Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society is an “entertaining and creepy homage to an era gone by” (Cherry and Spoon) brought to life by veteran Twin Cities performers Shanan Custer, Joshua English Scrimshaw, Tim Uren and Eric Webster “using their voices to paint a picture so vivid that if you close your eyes you can see the action in your mind’s eye.” (Stages of Minnesota).
