The Looney Lutherans are a trio of wacky gals who use music and comedy to share their age-old wisdom for living a long and lively life, the Lutheran way. In LIVIN’ LA VIDA (inspired by the Ricky Martin song!) they introduce you to the “6HHP” – the 6 “Happy Heart” petals. Using their tips you, too, can have a joyful heart. Segments include the Menopause Medley, a disco salute to Hotdish, Lutheran Yoga, and do-it-yourself Beauty Tips. (And you don’t have to be Lutheran to love ‘em!)

The idea for the “Looney Lutherans” was cooked up in 2006 when the founding members were appearing in the cast of the hit musical CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES. Greta, aka Lois, had been booked to entertain at a Senior Expo in Mankato and didn’t want to do the gig alone so, half way thru a Church Basement Ladies matinee, she walked into the adjoining dressing room and asked Robbie and Dorian if they wanted to put together a show. They both said “yes”, and the Loonies were born. Now, almost 20 years later, the company has grown to include additional “Loonies” – all professional actresses, writers, singers, and improvisers. Together these talented women have appeared around the country at numerous Fairs and Festivals, Mother/Daughter Banquets, Red Hat Gatherings, Hospital Fundraisers, Member and Customer Appreciation Events, and at Women’s and Senior Expos, and they are thrilled to be making their Crooner’s debut.

(In addition to being Looney, Greta is a director and voice over artist, and wrote the scripts for the last eight Church Basement Ladies musicals; Dorian can regularly be seen in COUNTY ROADS, the music of John Denver; and Robbie is a theater educator/director and recently started learning the drums!)
