Dane Stauffer and Dan Chouinard have worked together since 1990 when they collaborated on a show with Shirley Witherspoon and the Wolverines Big Band. Nowadays they share local stages with Kevin Kling, Prudence Johnson and innumerable others. Dan is a pianist, accordionist and accompanist for a who’s who of Twin Cities performers, an enabler of community singalongs and a writer of shows for radio and stage, and is the founder of the classic country band, Lush Country. Dane is familiar to Twin Cities audiences as Roger in the Ivey Award winning “Glensheen.” He also starred as Scrooge in “Dolly Parton’s Smokey Mountain Christmas Carol” at the Ordway. He has toured Ireland and the West Coast in “Triple Espresso.” While in Los Angeles, he sang at the House of Blues, Cafe Was, Herb Alpert’s Vibe Room and Yoshi’s. He can be seen in the just released film “Marmalade,” and he continues to teach empowerment through the arts to children and adults in all settings.
“Eclectic Minnesota accompanist Dan Chouinard is everyone’s go-to guy.” –Kim Ode, StarTribune
