CONNIE EVINGSON is known for exploring a wide variety of musical styles. Her recorded catalog of acclaimed CD’s ranging from jazz and Broadway standards to the music of Peggy Lee, Dave Frishberg, the Beatles, bossa nova, gypsy jazz and more reflects an adventurous spirit that knows no boundaries. Connie appears regularly at Crooner’s, the Dakota, the Womans Club and various other Twin Cities venues. She has been a featured guest artist with Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion, Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis, Michael Feinstein and Vince Giordano, the Minnesota Orchestra conducted by Doc Severinsen, Philip Brunelle’s Vocalessence, the JazzMN Orchestra and has toured worldwide with appearances at concert halls and theaters across the U.S., Europe and Japan. Her CD’s have all charted in the Top 50 Jazz releases in the U.S. and Canada, and can be heard on radio stations and streaming platforms worldwide as well as numerous CD compilations. She is a longtime member of the popular vocal jazz group Moore By Four and is a two-time recipient of the both the McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians and the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant.
