Dan Chouinard and Gwen Matthews have been friends and colleagues since they started working together in the early ‘90s at jazz clubs (the Dakota), at dance clubs (Rupert’s), and for a number of years in the popular gospel quintet Back To You with Debbie Duncan, Dennis Spears and Kandii Matthews. More recently, Gwen has created and starred in the show “Aretha and Her Men,” based on actual duets (and some wishful ones) between Aretha and her favorite male vocalists through the years.
